Monthly spend and subscription review
Stop paying for things nobody uses. Once a month, a short list of price rises, double charges and dead subscriptions, with what each one costs you a year.

How it runs
What we build, step by step.
This is the usual shape. Yours gets built around how your team actually does the job.
- 01
A month of spending read
Bank and card spending is pulled with read-only access and grouped by supplier.
- 02
Price rises spotted
Regular suppliers whose unit prices or monthly charges have gone up are listed, with the old and new figures.
- 03
Duplicates and unused subscriptions found
Two charges for the same thing, subscriptions billing for staff who've left, and tools nobody has logged into lately, where we can see that.
- 04
A short review list
Each item with its yearly cost and a suggested action: query the supplier, cancel or keep.
- 05
Sent to whoever signs off spending
One email a month, short enough to read over a coffee.
Shown with software we see a lot. If your team uses something else, we build it into that instead.
Built for your business
Same job, different business. We build yours.
Two firms in the same trade rarely run a job the same way. Different software, different steps, different people signing off. We build it for your business, around how your team actually does the job.
Your steps
Built around the order your team already works in, odd exceptions included.
Your software
Runs inside the tools you already pay for, set up the way you use them.
Your rules
Your wording, your limits, your sign-offs. Nothing generic goes out in your name.
You sign off
Your team keeps the final say.
It never cancels anything or contacts a supplier. A person decides what to query or cut.
What it's worth
What those hours add up to.
2 hrs a month
Typical, not promised.
Before and after
The job, before and after.
How it runs today
Suppliers raise prices a few percent at a time. A software subscription keeps billing after the person who used it has left. Two people sign up for the same tool. None of it is large, so nobody looks, and over a year it adds up to real money.
What we build
- A month of spending read
- Price rises spotted
- Duplicates and unused subscriptions found
- A short review list
- Sent to whoever signs off spending
A month in
Price creep gets queried while it's still small, and the subscriptions nobody uses get cancelled instead of quietly renewing for another year.
FAQ
Does a spend review need access to our bank?
Read-only access, through the feed your accounting software already has. The spend review can't make payments or cancel anything.
Is a spend and subscription review worth it for a small business?
Sometimes. It's usually added alongside another finance build rather than on its own, and if it won't pay for itself, the proposal will say so plainly.
